kood.work is built by and for the community. Here is exactly how we keep your data safe, your posts yours, and your linked accounts untouched.

Security & privacy

Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed and salted by our managed auth system.
Sign-in works via secure session tokens or Google OAuth. We never see your Google password.
Every database table has Row-Level Security: you can only read and write data you own. Private fields stay private.
We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data. No marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
If you delete your account, your private data is removed.

Posts and replies are stored exactly as you submit them. Nobody — including us — silently rewrites your words.
Only the author can edit a post. Edited posts are marked as edited, so the change is visible to everyone.
A thread with replies cannot be deleted by its author until the replies are removed first. This protects ongoing conversations.
Admins and moderators can remove content that breaks community rules, but they cannot impersonate you or alter what you wrote.

Links to your GitHub, LinkedIn, or other social profiles are public references only. We never log in on your behalf.
We do not post, message, follow, or scrape anything on your linked accounts.
We will not hand your social links to third-party tools, recruiters, or AI training datasets.
You can edit or remove any linked social URL from your profile at any time.
